Home needed
Hey All, I've just found out that my landlord is selling my dearly beloved home. Hence, I need somewhere new. I'm looking for a largish room, for up to about £500pm. Location is much less important to me than having the right kind of housemates; idealy I'd be living with interesting, creative, open minded people. If anyone knows of anything, please get in touch. Any leads would be dearly apreciated. Alternatively, if anyone is looking for a place, and fancies teaming up, shout. Thanks all. With all sorts of love, Santi | | Tuesday, August 21st, 2007 | | 11:35 am |
Housemate wanted
One room will be available in a large modern house in Brockley, SE4 (Zone 2). The house has five bedrooms, a spare room, a large living room, three toilets, large fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher, broadband, a recently cleaned basement (for all your corpse-hiding needs), a piano (but no actual piano player), garden, a balcony perfect for summer evening picnics and even an outdoor bathtub. Brockley Station (10 mins from London Bridge) is a short walk away, as are Crofton Park Station, Ladywell Station and St John's Station; there is a night bus to Central London; and New Cross and New Cross Gate tube stations are nearby. The immediate area offers coffee shops, mini supermarkets, take away shops, a park with a stone circle (just in case you're a druid, like), and there is a large supermarket nearby. The house is a bustling hive of activity, ranging from the homely to the degenerate, and during winter months plays host to the now world-famous Great Tuesday Knitting Extravaganza, as well as hosting late night tea dances, a string of critically acclaimed parties, efnik food days, hoedowns, degenerate dinner parties, costumey goodness and much else besides. Potential flatmates should be open to and accepting of alternative lifestyles, and not object to the occasional sight of blood, knitting, bdsm or differing forms of intoxication, or the occasional sound of cellos and sitars. The room is large and has a double bed. Rent is £413 pm, all bills and tax included, except for phone line and broadband (which comes to about £8 per month). The room will be available from the end of September. Pirates preferred to ninjas, but both will be considered. If you're interested, please get in touch: contact_santiago@hotmail.com, or call Santi on 07881588457. If you know anyone who might be interested, please pass this on to them. Im away for a couple of weeks, so it might take a bit to reply to emails. Thanks | | Tuesday, August 14th, 2007 | | 10:14 am |

Settling in.
I've set up my desk in a cage in a corner of the enchanted forest. I've appropriated a set of porn shelves (a quick glance to my left reveals a colection of rather shapely young ladies reaming each other). There's some dirty DnB blaring from someone's desk. And I've been given my first job: I'm organising the company trip to Burning Man. | | 11:23 am |
I'm back.
Nowhere was very intense. I came back broken, exhausted, but stronger and meaner. And delihtfully tanned. I started my new job a few hours ago. So far I've put on some roller skates and skated down to the IT department in the military bunker at the far end of the enchanted forest, and now I'm wearing big furry creature feet. We've talked about drugs and about the company trip to Burning Man. Gotta go. We're gonna have a dance off to Run DMC. | | Thursday, June 21st, 2007 | | 11:16 am |
Haha! Today is my last day of work! I lack any and all motivation to even pretend tobe working. So there. I've dressed for the occasion in a top hat and tails. With steampunk goggles, of course. There will be leaving drinks the local, then dinner in Brick Lane, followed by a short performance involving rope and cellos. And, I suspect, a mountain of intoxication to bury the past three years under. What's that smell? Oh yes, it's freedom. Current Mood: Jubilant | | Wednesday, June 13th, 2007 | | 10:54 am |

One for the geeks
I'm after a mail client that will organise emails in threads, as Gmail does, but also offers the option to create folders and store emails in them, as Hotmail does. Does such a thing exist? | | Thursday, May 31st, 2007 | | 1:22 pm |
Q: How do you get a gay man to fuck your girlfriend? A: Shit in her cunt. | | Tuesday, May 29th, 2007 | | 12:39 pm |

The Midnight Brockley Country & Western and Bluegrass Mini Hoedown.
The Midnight Brockley Country & Western and Bluegrass Mini Hoedown. Yee-haw pardners, and many more such utterances. We're oh-so proud to announce the very first Midnight Brockley Countyy & Western and Bluegrass Mini Hoedown, starting at 11pm on Saturday 7th April. Come for a whole night's worth of the kind of fun that can only ever happen when you've got a soundtrack of the very best C&W and Bluegrass sounds, in one of South London's most Ancient and Mystical settings: the fabled Brockley Stone Circle. We've even got some of South London's best C&W musicians, live on stage. Expect late night stompin', expect beans and bacon, expect darn'd critters and even some varmint! Things to bring: - Country & Western and Bluegrass tunes - Instruments (musical and otherwise) - Strapping young lads - Pretty girls with rosy cheeks - Food to cook on the fire (there'll be a small fire) - Toys - Liquor, libations and refreshements. - Warm clothing and things to sit on - Checked shirts - Pigtails - Charcoal for the fire Directions: The fabled Brockley Stone Circle is in Hillyfields, behind the tennis courts. Catch an overland train to Brockley or Ladywell stations. Click for map: http://tinyurl.com/yqrlzrGetting home: the N171 departs from nearby, and calls at Elephant & Castle and Holborn. Check Journeyplanner for more routes: http://journeyplanner.tfl.gov.uk/And click for what the fabled Brockley Stone Cirlce would look like if you were a bird: http://tinyurl.com/247gdeGet in touch if: - you're a musician and would like to perform on one of our many stages; - you have access to a portable soundsystem of any size and would like to bring it along; - you can yodel; - you're a friendly soul who just wants some human contact. Please remember that the site is an Ancient and Mystical site of, well, Ancientness and Mysticalness. Please treat it with the respect both you and it deserves, and remember to take all your rubbish home with you. Rule no. 6: We might make a mess, we might be a mess, but we don't leave a mess. Cost: Absolutely Sod All. This is about the love of C&W and Bluegrass, not about the money. | | Monday, March 26th, 2007 | | 5:10 pm |
